Teenage Girls Receive Birth Control Implant at School Without the Knowledge of Parents
A shocking discovery which has raised a whole lot of questions, is about a school that has carried out a procedure of injecting girls as young as 13 with contraceptive implants without informing the parents.

This procedure was carried out by nine schools to bring down the number of underage pregnancies.

Parents have strongly condemned this act by the schools, and many parents are ignorant that their daughters have received the 4cm implant under the skin.

The implants were fitted by NHS experts in Southampton.

NHS Trust has supported this action taken by schools and have said this exercise has led to a 22% drop in teenage pregnancies in Southampton.  Apparently, intimation to parents regarding the plan of fitting an implant was sent via letters in 2009.
