Take Action on Parents of Sun Burnt Children for Not Protecting Their Children
Due to the rising temperatures across United Kingdom, there has been an increase in cases of sunburn among children.
It could almost be labeled child neglect, say campaigners, and parents who allow their children to get sun burnt should be reported to social services.

Parents who are careless about protecting their children against sunburn must be warned, experts said.

Skin cancer is a possible risk and commenting on this Leigh Smith of Melanoma Action and Support Scotland said: “As far as I’m concerned it is a child protection issue. These parents have tripled their children’s chances of getting skin cancer.”

Some of the symptoms of skin cancer are:

1. A new growth or abnormal accumulation of cells in the skin.

2. A change in an existing skin growth.

3. A sore that does not heal.
