 Swedish Novelist Henning Mankell Diagnosed With Cancer
Swedish best-selling crime novelist Henning Mankell revealed on his website that he has been diagnosed with cancer.
Mankell, who is the author of best-selling detective series that feature the gloomy inspector Kurt Wallander, wrote on his website that he had gone to the hospital to get a hernia on the neck checked out and was given “a serious diagnosis of cancer”.

“I had one tumor in the back of my neck and one in my left lung. The cancer could also have spread to other parts of my body. I am now undergoing the last examinations before it will be decided upon which treatments I will receive”, the 66-year old author said.
