Survey Reveals the Vulnerability of Internet Users to Online Crime
It appears that two-thirds of adults worldwide have fallen prey to some form of online crime.
More than 7000 adults from 14 countries took part in the Norton Cybercrime Report The Human Aspect, which found an alarming number of Internet users are exposed to online crime.

Sexual predators, online credit card fraud and social networking together account for seven per cent of cyber crime worldwide.

Viruses and malware make up 51 per cent of online crime and phishing - a type of fraud where criminals try to get sensitive information such as user names, passwords and credit card details - accounts for nine per cent.

"Cyber criminals are lurking in the places where people are downloading illegal content, and they're using those channels to distribute threats," News.com.au quoted the report as saying.
