Survey Finds Many Teens Using Illicit Drugs in School

A recent survey has found that many American high school students use illicit drugs, most of which they have access to in school.

Survey results show that roughly 2.8 million children abuse drugs during the school day.
 Survey Finds Many Teens Using Illicit Drugs in School

There is an increase in drug use in both public and private schools. Nearly 54% of private high school students said that drugs are available in their schools

Teens also seem to be swayed by social media - 75% of teens are influenced by photos of friends partying on facebook, MySpace or other social networking sites. Being at an impressionable age, many teens want to do the same to feel part of the peer group.
