A staff member at Promises rehab, where Britney Spears underwent treatment, has been served with a subpoena, court order to give evidence for a trial.

The staff will testify for the custody battle between the singer and her ex-hubby Kevin Federline over their two kids.

K-Fed’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan has confirmed the news and has said that the rapper is using a significant strategy to protect his kids.

"An executive administrator from Promises rehab facility was served with a subpoena today," Us magazine quoted Kaplan as saying.

"Kevin is pursuing relevant information from all relevant sources...There is a significant strategy in place that Kevin is going to pursue whatever he needs to do to protect his kids, Kaplan added.

The executive administrator will join Spears’ assistant Shannon Funk, former bodyguard Daimon Shippen and friend Alli Sims who have received the court orders.
