 Study: Women
A woman's handbag gives away where she was born reveals a recent study.
According to the study, if a woman prefers a clutch like Cheryl Cole, then she is likely to be a northern girl, who carries the bare minimum such as lipstick, mobile phone and taxi fare, the Mirror reported.

The study which was done by Debenhams, found that 6 out of 10 Geordie girls carry their clutch from morning to night and dance with their handbags, instead around them.

Midlands girls are said to be easy to pick out as they have a "bag for life" attitude, and they choose a sensible, mid-sized handbag that works for every occasion.

These girls consider TV star Cat Deeley as their role model for her neutral, leather tote.

Welsh woman, who are sporty and outdoorsy, are more likely to be seen around town with a rucksack for their water bottle, trainers and lycra leggings.

The study also found that Scots lasses prefer a cross-body bag to keep their possessions securely strapped to their sides.

However, Londoners follow Victoria Beckham's style of oversized totes that will take them from the office to a party with enough space for a change of clothes, makeup, perfume and even hair straighteners.

Karen Pine, psychologist from University of Hertfordshire, said that this research shows how the type of a bag women carry reflects their personality in similar way the clothes do.
