Study Says Middle-Aged Women are Most Confident With Their Bodies
A new study has found that women aged 55 and above are most confident about their physical appearance.
The survey of 2,000 women, conducted to coincide with the launch of the Gok's third collection for TU at Sainsbury's, found that across all age groups and regions, more than a third of women dress only to please themselves.

An impressive 44 per cent rated their physical appearance seven out of ten or higher, with 60 per cent of women in this age group only dressing to please themselves.

The survey also revealed that unlike celebrities, three quarters of women would never consider going under the knife to cure their physical insecurities.

Northern Irish women also dress to please their mothers (10 per cent), while Welsh ladies mostly strive to impress their partners (45 per cent).

"It's great that the nation's women are embracing their curves and feeling confident about their figures," the Daily Mail quoted Gok Wan, designer of the shape-enhancing Gok for TU range, as saying.

"Women today no longer need to feel like they must hide behind draping fabrics and are choosing to show off their wonderful shapes.

"By dressing correctly for your shape it really can show off your best assets and hide a multitude of sins," he added.
