The car free day was observed from Munirka T-point to Hyatt Hotel T-point on Vivekanand Marg in South Delhi.

Delhi Transport Minister Gopal Rai, who led the car free day rally at Munirka Bus Stop on Vivekanad Marg, said, "Next car free day will be organized at Loni Road in northeast Delhi."

Rai also appealed to the people to participate and help in making a success of the second chapter of odd-even scheme, due from April 15 to 31, 2016.

Rai said, "The Aam Aadmi Party government is taking every initiative to bring down the air pollution level in the city."

Among other leaders present at the event were legislators Naresh Yadav from Mehrauli (South), Ajay Dutt from Ambedkar Nagar (South), and N.D. Sharma from Badarpur.
