Smartphone App can Sense When You are Stressed

Smartphone App can Sense When You are Stressed
A new application designed for Smartphones , called StressSense , can discern stress from the patterns and vibrations of your voice.
StressSense initially recognizes a person's unstressed voice, after users read a 3-minute passage in a relaxed mood into their phones.

The system then makes a comparison with the pre-programmed knowledge of the physiological changes that stress induces and makes a note of any instances of stress it finds in the voice.

This way the application is able to spot when the user is stressed.

This app is scheduled to be presented at the Ubicomp conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, next month.
