Slimmer Executives Viewed With More Respect Than Heftier Counterparts
A new study published in the Wall Street Journal reveals that weight does play an important role in how people, especially executives, are perceived at work.
According to the study, conducted by Center for Creative Leadership, executives who have a high body mass index (BMI) and large waistlines are often viewed as not being effective compared to those with smaller waistlines, regardless of how they perform.

“Because the demands of leadership can be quite strenuous, the physical aspects are just as important as everything else”, Center for Creative Leadership’s Sharon McDowell-Larsen said.
