Sachin Tendulkar Pays Homage to Sathya Sai Baba
Sai Baba's ardent devotee and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, visited the Prashanti Nilayam on Monday to pay homage to Sathya Sai Baba.
He was accompanied by his wife Anjali. While paying homage to the departed spiritual leader, Sachin broke down repeatedly.

Sachin has been a long time devotee of the spiritual guru and in the past made several visits to his ashram.

He decided to not celebrate his birthday on Sunday, as a mark of respect to Sai Baba.

Sathya Sai Baba, who was admitted to the super-speciality hospital at Prashantigram at Puttaparthi on March 28, following respiration-related problems, passed away at around 7.40 a.m. on Sunday due to cardio-respiratory failure. He was 85.

His body has been wrapped in a saffron-coloured cloth and kept in a glass casket in the ashram's Sai Kulwant Hall.

The Baba will be buried in the Sai Kulwant Hall in Prashanti Nilayam on Wednesday morning in line with the practice adopted for spiritual leaders in India, contrary to the Hindu custom of cremating bodies. The exact time will be announced later.
