Sources have revealed that Kate, who usually sticks to 'Duchess of Cambridge' for royal engagements, has listed herself as a 'Princess', which is a more senior title, on Prince George's birth certificate, the Mirror reported.

The formalities of recording the 'royal baby's' birth were taken care of by Prince William's father, the Duke of Cambridge.

Registrar Alison Cathcart who traveled to Kensington Palace, said that she felt great to see that the tradition had continued as they earlier registered the birth of the Queen and Prince Charles and princes William and Harry, as well.
