 Prayer Calms Anger
A recent study found that one need not be religious to experience the calming effect of prayer, especially in controlling anger.
Just saying a small prayer helped people calm down from a fit of anger. Praying for someone else was found to reduce aggression in those who were provoked or insulted.

Psychology professor Brad Bushman of Ohio State University, who led the research, found that praying for somebody in trouble had a better effect than simply praying for someone.

Prof Bushman said: “We found that prayer really can help people cope with their anger, probably by helping them change how they view the events that angered them and helping them take it less personally.”
