Pictorial Health Warning On Tobacco Products

Consequent upon amendment to the Tobacco Act 2003, Government has notified the revised Packaging and Labeling Rule 2007 whereby the pictorial depiction of skull and cross bones as health warning has been removed and the pictorial representation of the dead body has been replaced.

All tobacco product packs including Cigarettes, Gutka and Bidi etc. Produced/manufactured after 1st December 2007 will have to bear/depict these specified pictorial health warnings on their products.

The revised pictorial health warning for the smoking and non-smoking forms of tobacco are as follows:

Smoking
No Smoking
