Phobic Jackson Shuns Food to Beat Skin Cancer

Michael Jackson is turning away from food fearing his weight gain could hamper his chances of beating skin cancer, according to reports.

The King of Pop is reportedly living on just one meal a day and now weighs less than nine stone.

"Michael has a phobia about getting fat," The Sun quoted a source as saying.

"He doesn't want to put on any weight at all. It's not healthy for him because he weighs less than nine stone now.

"But he is insistent that he'll only eat once a day and is adamant that's enough food from him. He's very thin and frail," the source added.

The 50-year-old was diagnosed with the disease in April and had allegedly undergone surgery to get potentially lethal growths from his nose and arm removed.

The singer was due to kick off his much-awaited 50-show run at the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena in London on July 8.

But the opening night of his This Is It tour has been pushed to July 13, while three other gigs, previously slated for July 10, 12 and 14, are not be staged until March next year.

Jackson denied the delay was health-related.
