Researchers have reported that pesticides used in golf courses can increase the risk of diabetes in golfers.
Pesticides that contain the chemical trichlorfon, which s an organo-phosphate insecticide, are particularly implicated in the risk of causing diabetes as well as obesity.Researchers at the National Institutes of Health say that people who work on golf courses or in gardens that use this pesticide are at a 200% increased risk of developing diabetes.
