People can be Judged by Type of Shoes They Wear
A new study conducted by researchers at University of Kansas reveals that a person can indeed be accurately judged by the shoes they wear.
The researchers recruited 63 students and asked them to guess the age, gender, social status and different personality traits, such as whether the person was an introvert or extrovert, by looking at the shoes. The researchers found that the volunteers were able to correctly guess 90 percent of a person’s characteristics simply by examining style, cost, colour and condition of a shoe.

“Shoes convey a thin but useful slice of information about their wearers. Shoes have a practical purpose and also serve as non-verbal cue with symbolic messages. people tend to pay attention to the shoe they and others wear”, the researchers wrote in their report published in the Journal of Research in Personality.
