An Indian Family of Accident Victim Donates His Organs and Saves Five
Foot-board traveling in a bus near Tiruvarur district, Tamil Nadu, left Jaganmohan (39), critically injured. He was initially treated at the Tiruvarur Medical College Hospital and was referred to the Thanjavur Medical College Hospital.
The //doctors declared him brain dead after he was shifted to a private hospital. Sangeetha, his distressed wife, Lalitha, his mother and his relatives decided to donate his vital organs.

Jaganmohan’s heart, kidneys, liver were harvested by a team of specialists and transported to five patients in various parts of the state.

One of his kidneys was donated to a patient suffering from critical nephrological problems at the same hospital while the other kidney was rushed by road to a patient in a nearby hospital. Jaganmohan’s heart, liver, and lungs were air-lifted to Chennai where they were transplanted to patients already identified in a private hospital.
