On Xbox 360, Games Will Soon Respond to Voice Control
The Xbox 360 will respond to voice control from December 6, Microsoft has announced. This will possibly foreshadow the demise of the much-coveted remote.
The new element to the gaming consoles Kinect add on will let users assert their dominance over their machines without even having to pick up a controller.

Voice control will let console users order their TV to play movies and music from the couch and is due for release in a wide-ranging revamp of the systems dashboard (user interface).

Voice control will also be able to differentiate between people and different voices when they are configured to an Xbox live account.

But those bent on mischief won't be able to derail an attempt to break records by their mates with commands like "Xbox, off" disabled by forward-thinking programmers, the Herald Sun reported.

The system will also respond to hand gestures allowing for further control without a controller.
