Obesity Poses a Huge Problem for Gen X | |

It seems that Gen X is in a race with the baby boomers for all the wrong reasons.
As if tackling high rates of obesity and its obvious health issues amongst baby boomers was not enough, Generation X, that is those born from the late sixties to 1980, appear to be fast catching up with the unhealthy obesity trend.
Comparing the baby boomers and Generation X at a certain age, shows that Generation X males have double rates of obesity that their baby boomer predecessors.
Perhaps this problem needs an all-round approach beginning with self motivation of the individual as well as the support of the workplace which can encourage healthy living by providing access to healthy food and enhancing physical activity programs among Gen X to stay fit.
