Max Levchin has come out with a new iPhone app called Glow which aims to help couples who trying to conceive babies both financially and scientifically.
Levchin, who is the co-founder of online payment system PayPal, had launched the app early this year and said that it was an attempt at making a difference in the health industry with the use of data analytics. Users of the app will have to take part in a survey every day and it predicts the chances of a successful conception on a particular day based on the survey.
AdvertisementThe app will also provide daily recommendations to women for increasing their chances while male users are given suggestions on how to best to help in the effort. Users can also take part in Glow First, a community fund for infertility treatment in which a user will have to pay $50 per month for 10 months or until they get pregnant.
The money is then collected in a nonprofit fund and at the end of the 10-month period, the fund is divided equally among the women who could not get pregnant with the money being sent directly to the fertility clinics of the women's choice and can be used for fertility treatments.
