 Now, a Chinese Apparatus to Treat Depression With
Scientists in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province have developed a therapeutic apparatus, claimed to be the world's first instrument to treat clinical depression.
The provincial committee of industry and information technology has evaluated the instrument, a combination of transcranial magnetic stimulation and music therapy, and termed it as a worldwide breakthrough.

According to reports, the apparatus that resembles a headphone is applicable to patients suffering from mild and moderate clinical depression, reports Xinhua.

It consists of three parts, a transcranial magnetic stimulator, an audio frequency generator, and a brain wave stimulator.

It generates 'prescriptive music' through the electromagnetic field and stimulates both the brain and the audio system of the human body so as to adjust the activity of central nervous system.
