New York City Encourages Breastfeeding by Making Access to Formula Milk Difficult for Newborns | |

Breast feeding is the best for the baby and to drive this point home rather forcefully, New York will begin to make things difficult for mothers who wish to start their newborn babies on formula milk.
New York's 40 hospitals have planned to do away with swag bags featuring formula logos. Further, a medical reason will be required for every bottle of formula that a newborn receives.
The idea is to get more mothers to breast feed and ensure that babies enjoy the bountiful benefits of breast milk.
