New Strategy to Boost Early Diagnose of Cancer Will be Life-Saving, Cost-Cutting
Cancer Research scientists in UK have come up with a new strategy to increase early diagnosis of cancer that not only save many lives but also cut the cost of treatment.
According to scientists, more than 90 percent of people diagnosed with stage one of the eight most common cancers were alive after 10 years compared with 5 percent found at stage four.

While in case of common cancers such as bladder, bowel, breast, cervical, womb, malignant melanoma, ovarian and testicular, over 25 percent were found at stages three or four.

Cancer Research UK's Sara Hiom said cancer survival had doubled in the past 40 years, and it was possible to increase the number of people diagnosed at an early stage be it any cancer types, from around half of patients now to more than 60 percent by 2020.
