New-Age Car? Baby Chair That Drives Your Restless Kids to Sleep
Parents who are desperate for a way to get their children to sleep without driving them around in the car have some good news thanks to US experts.
They have created a unique baby chair that promises to provide the same sleep-inducing effect - without mum or dad having to get behind the wheel.

The Cruisin' Motion Soother mimics the movements and sounds of a car journey, including going over bumps, turning corners and even the gentle hum of the engine.

Although the movements are slight, the designers who created the chair for Fisher-Price said they are almost identical to the movements felt by a baby in a car seat.

"Parents wanted something that could do the same job as a car seat but without the car," the Daily Mail quoted Sarah Allen, from Fisher-Price, as saying.

"The chair itself is actually the deepest kind of seat we have ever done and we did that to give the same feel as a car seat.

"It has a motor in the base and when you turn it on the chair moves ever so slightly. The movements vary throughout to match the same kind of sensation the baby gets from being in a car," she said.

The chair that took 18 months to complete is expected to cost 67 pounds when it goes on sale on the high street in July.
