A record of sorts by 45 year old, Monica Zapotoczny, of Buenos Aires may be heartening news for many career women and cancer survivors who wish to bear a child.

The couple had made several unsuccessful attempts with IVF and had almost given up the idea of having a child of their own. Their final attempt last year proved lucky and her fraternal twins, Mercedes and Guadalupe, were born in January by caesarian section.

Unbelievably, Monica Zapotoczny had delivered twins from the eggs she had frozen at the age of 33, that is twelve years ago.

"It was a miracle. The joy we feel is indescribable, our family is complete. I hope other women who freeze their eggs can take hope from this that their dreams can one day come true," said Zapotoczny.
