 Mother-daughter Duo Impress Upon Victoria
Allana Maiden, a 27-year-old from Virginia, saw her mother, Debbie Barrett, 57, battle breast cancer. Debbie survived cancer but the battle left her thinking of what she could do as a way to support women who have undergone mastectomies.
Allana Maiden and her mother Debbie Barrett have given a request to Victoria’s Secret headquarters today, with an appeal to manufacture a line of bras for survivors of breast cancer.

The duo were allowed to hand-deliver more than 118,000 Change.org petition signatures to the company's office in New York City, requesting them to manufacture a line of "survivor" bras to support women who have undergone mastectomies and wear prostheses to feel good about themselves again.

Both Allana and her mother met Tammy Roberts Myers, vice president of external communications for Limited Brands, the parent company, who offered to fly the duo to the Columbus, Ohio, headquarters for further discussions on this matter.

Maiden and Barrett are so happy that their request representing thousands of women survivors of breast cancer has been taken in the right spirit.

The company spokesman said that this request is an extension of the organization’s vision and goal of championing the fight against breast cancer. The company is always working towards improving its support for women survivors of breast cancer.
