In Wales, when the Duchess of Cambridge took a home pregnancy test in her three-bedroom cottage, it was the "most nerve-wracking moment of her entire life." This was revealed by future Queen of England's best friend from college.
Jessica Hay, who was the first person to reveal that Kate was pregnant, says that Kate and Prince William were ecstatic too see the result positive, and had a humble celebration, according to RadarOnline.
The royal couple simply had "a home-cooked shepherd's pie and an early night," Jessica told New Idea Magazine.
Infact, Will and Kate were planning to keep the pregnancy a secret until Christmas but Kate's recent illness changed all that.
"Katherine had been feeling on top of the world, putting on weight and feeling wonderful, but suddenly on Saturday morning she became very sick," Hay said.
Kate, who is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness, was admitted to King Edward VII's Hospital on Dec. 3, shortly after the Palace confirmed the pregnancy.

"They're relieved everyone knows and they're just focused on getting her health firm back on track," she added.
