Midland Tot’s Swearing Video During the Ice Bucket Challenge Goes Viral

A Midland tot has become an unlikely internet sensation after using the curse word during the ice bucket challenge.

Three-year-old Scarlett-Rose Davis begged her grandparents to let her take part in the challenge, which is currently taking the world by storm in aid of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

Ice Bucket Challenge, aimed at creating awareness about Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, has collected $88.5 million till August 26.

But the girl’s grandmother, Carla Davis-Ball, said she 'could have died' when the tot blurted out 'f***ing hell' after the drenching.

The 40-year-old, from Coalpool in Walsall, West Midlands, said, “I couldn't believe it when she came out with that language. She has picked up a few bad words when we have gone out for meals or into town. But she does know it’s wrong.”

Carla recorded the footage on her mobile phone last weekend in the garden of the house she shares with her partner Stuart Ball, Scarlett-Rose’s grandad. She proudly posted it on Facebook while Stuart, 33, uploaded it to You Tube, where it has been viewed more than 40,000 times till now.

The grandmother said Scarlett-Rose was dunked with warm water from a cooking pot after nominating a young friend called Marshall to take the challenge next.

“She had seen some of the ice bucket videos on my phone and seen one of my friends do it,” Carla said.

A-list celebrities like Chris Pratt, Lady Gaga are among many more who have taken on the Ice Bucket Challenge.

“She said: ‘Nanny, can I do that?’ It makes me so happy that a three-year-old picked on a good cause and wanted to get involved. She knows it’s for poor people.” “The reaction to the video has blown my mind,” Carla said. "My phone is on charge constantly because of all the comments we have received.”

Now the family has recorded another video, with the toddler saying she wouldn't say such a bad word again.

Amazingly, Scarlett-Rose is not the youngest person to take the ice bucket challenge.

A video of a seven-month-old baby having a small plastic cup of water poured over its head was also posted on YouTube earlier this month.

However, the Challenge is now also facing criticism for becoming more about dumping ice water rather than put the focus on spreading awareness.
