MERS Cases Rise to 181, Death Total Rises to 31: South Korean Health Ministry

As health authorities try to contain the spread of the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) virus, South Korea has reported another fresh case of MERS, taking the total number to 181.

MERS Cases Rise to 181, Death Total Rises to 31: South Korean Health Ministry

The South Korean health ministry reported of two deaths, escalating the toll to 31. The fatality rate due to the virus has risen to 17.1%.

The number of people quarantined rose from 2,642 on Thursday to 2,931 on Friday.
