Men with thinning hair can now seek inspiration from Manchester United striker, Wayne Rooney, who underwent a successful hair transplant procedure in 2011.
He has begun encouraging men to go ahead and have the treatment instead of worrying about thinning hair. He said that he had taken the decision to go for the treatment after he consulted with experts from London's Harley Street after his hair began to thin.
Ever since Rooney underwent the hair transplant, statistics show a 25% increase in hair transplants among men. According to reports, Rooney has coughed up about £30,000 on the procedure.
Men are more likely to go bald than women; but the good news is that men have far more options for hair replacement than women. Hair replacement, both surgical hair replacement and hair replacement with hair systems, is a constantly evolving field, and much of it is geared to the unique needs of men.
Hair replacement surgery takes hair from other parts of your head and uses it to cover your scalp. It is a 'redistribution' of your existing hair, and if done with care can result in an appearance of a head full of hair.
For all those men with thinning hair, doesn't this sound encouraging ? Go ahead claim your life and your self-esteem back!
