It might make more sense for men to wear white T-shirt as the fair sex is simply drawn to such men. Women rated men with white T-shirt nearly 12 percent more attractive, a study has revealed.
This is because a plain white T shirt makes the waist appear slim and the shoulders broad. It might also give an illusion of a V shaped body, which is an indicator of masculinity. Men who were otherwise out of shape looked great and well toned in a white T shirt.
"The brain and sensory mechanism underpinning this are probably evolved and are almost certainly managing what we look for and how we respond. Clearly there are individual tastes and preferences, but we can see here how fashion could have an implicit positive or negative effect on perceived attractiveness and health. It suggests that you can use this kind of optical illusion that artists and fashion designers use all the time to tap into our basic sensory psychology," study researchers said.
