Many New Mothers With Post-natal Depression Do Not Seek Professional Help
Post-natal depression or baby blues is a common problem faced by women after the birth of their babies. This usually begins after delivery and in some cases can begin after six months.
A recent report revealed that nearly 49% of women who had this illness refrained from approaching professionals for help as they feared separation from their babies.

Nearly 35,000 new mothers suffer from post-natal depression every year. The report also showed that 50% of women suffering this condition were given antidepressants at the first instance without even trying other better forms of treatment.

Treatment for post-natal depression is important as the condition can get severe and last for months.
