Man Lived With Bullet in Heart for Two Months
A 32-year old man who was shot twice in a bank robbery in Uttar Pradesh underwent a surgery to remove a bullet that had been lodged in his heart for the past two months.
Bharat Sharma was shot twice, once in the hip and in the heart, and though local doctors managed to remove the bullet from his hip, they refused to remove the one lodged in his heart as they feared he would die immediately after the surgery.

Sharma had to wait for two months before finally traveling to Ahmadabad where the doctors managed to remove the bullet and confirmed that Sharma is recovering well from the surgery.

Stating that the three-hour long surgery was a complicated one, cardiac surgeon Anil Jain from the SAL private hospital said, “The bullet was stuck horizontally between the valves. Also, since the patient had lost lots of blood after the incident, we had to be very careful. How the patient survived and reached us is pure destiny.”
