Majority Of Brit Women Worried About Christmas Weight Gain
A new study has found that majority of British women are dreading the Christmas break this year because they worry about the effect that the extra calories they consume will have on their waistlines.
A new survey revealed that 67 percent of British woman say that they hate the look of their stomachs after Christmas - and all those indulgent meals - have come to an end.

It's not just stomachs that suffer either. The poll, put together by Harley Street clinic Lovelite from their patients and from latest YouGov data, revealed the second most hated part of British women's bodies after their tummies is their thighs (47 percent), followed by their hips (42 percent), the Daily Mail reported.

"Christmas should be a time of celebrating and relaxing with friends and family but instead two thirds of British women are stressed out from calculating the effects of all the extra food and drink," LoveLite owner Debra Robson-Lawrence said.

"They are dreading the fact that their figure is going to expand and especially hate putting on weight around their tummy," she said.

As a result of women's body image issues, Robson-Lawrence said that demand for non-surgical fat-reduction treatments has risen sharply and the LoveLite clinic has seen a 200 percent increase on last year.

And some are even booking in before they indulge this Christmas in an attempt to preempt festive weight gain.
