Latest Technology Boosts Diabetes Control

A recent study has outlined the effectiveness of real-time continuous glucose monitoring devices and insulin pumps which have made a world of difference to diabetes control, better than conventional blood sugar monitoring and insulin delivery methods. The study also found that patients who tracked blood sugar with continuous glucose monitors had better blood sugar levels than those who used finger stick testing alone.

Yet, both methods were equally good to avoid blood sugar from falling to dangerously low levels.

Further, those who used insulin pumps along with real-time continuous monitoring devices were able to control their blood sugar levels better than people who used finger-stick testing and shots alone.

Patients have also reported improvement in their quality of life and manner of treatment with real-time continuous glucose monitoring devices and insulin pumps.
