Large-volume Dispensers of Kleenex-brand Luxury Foam Hand Sanitizer Recalled
The large-bottle Kleenex-brand hand sanitizer has been recalled by the manufacturer in Canada after it was found to be contaminated with microbes.
Nearly 430 large-volume dispensers of Kleenex-brand Luxury Foam Hand Sanitizer have been recalled by the company. According to the communication from the manufacturer, bacteria in the Burkholderia cepacia group were found in the batch sold to institutions and wholesalers.

"These bacteria pose little risk to healthy Canadians, as their bodies are able to successfully fight off infections. For someone whose immune system has been weakened by other serious illnesses, especially cystic fibrosis, these bacteria can cause serious infections, including pneumonia and blood infection."

Batches with lot Nos. SA1229ANA and SA1229ANB have been recalled and users can contact the manufacturer at 888 346-4652 for further clarification.
