Lady Dies After 11 Years of Heart Transplant
This 24 year old from East Yorkshire had undergone a heart transplant 11 years ago.
Just a week back, Hannah had complained of stomach ache and extreme uneasiness. She collapsed a day after and her heart simply stopped beating. The medical staff tried their best to revive her heart, but it was all in vain.
Hannah’s mother Ros said: 'Hannah was feeling sick, and being sick, and also had a bit of stomach ache, so the local surgery arranged for her to go to the infirmary. It was not a life or death situation, but because Hannah was a transplant patient, it was felt she would be better in hospital to keep an eye on the situation. By late afternoon, I could see she was deteriorating, but we never expected her to die. We are all devastated. It is really heartbreaking that Hannah and Kevin will not see their wedding day.”
