Japanese Ready to Undergo Palm Plastic Surgery to Change Fate
If you don’t like your fate that is read out by a palm reader, the next best thing would be to change your palm itself.
At least that it what a number of Japanese seem to think after a new report published by The Daily Beast revealed around 37 people underwent palm surgeries in one clinic between January 2011 and May 2013.

Shonan Beauty Clinic’s Shinjuku branch in Tokyo charges around $1,100 for each surgery which is done with an electric scalpel. According to Dr Takaaki Matsuoka, who is a plastic surgeon at the clinic, the surgery is done in just 10 to 15 minutes and requires a month to heal. Dr Matsuoka said that men often asked to make changes to their fate line, the money-luck line or the financial line while women want to change their marriage line.

“If you try to create a palm line with a laser, it heals, and it won’t leave a clear mark. You have to use the electric scalpel and make a shaky incision on purpose, because palm lines are never completely straight”, Dr Matsuoka said.
