Officials from the Japanese Embassy and the not-for-profit organization Global Partners on Monday in Kabul, Afghanistan, signed an agreement to collaborate on a tuberculosis control project in the Afghanistan's Ghowr province, the Lithuanian News Agency reports.
The project is expected to cost about 60,820 euros, or about $86,000, and will be financed by the Japanese Government Assistance Program for Human Needs, according to Lithuanian News Agency.Specialists from the Ghowr provincial restoration team, led by Lithuania, mediated the preparations for the project. The TB control program initially will be implemented in four regions in Ghowr province and might be expanded to an additional four regions.
