Jammu & Kashmir Govt arranges Free Healthcare Services to Pilgrims Visiting Amarnath
Choudhary Lal Singh, Health minister of Jammu and Kashmir, India, said that the government will provide round-the-clock free healthcare facilities to pilgrims visiting Amarnath.
During a meeting Singh directed health department officials to gear up for providing round-the-clock free healthcare facilities to Amarnath pilgrims all along the Yatra routes.

The minister directed for arranging medical aid camps at base camps at Kathua, Jammu and Anantnag districts and also near the cave shrine.

Healthcare facilities including adequate medical and paramedical staff, proper arrangements for medicine and equipment at the medical aid camp would be available from Lakhanpur and along the twin routes (Baltal and Pahalgam) to the cave shrine in Anantnag district of Kashmir division.

Ambulance services must be made available within the 20 km distance of a medical aid camp, he said.

He said that the camps would be operational from July 2, the day when the annual Yatra commences.
