IFCR India to Enter Healthcare Services Management Sector

Kochi-based clinical research institute IFCR India has announced its intention to enter the healthcare services management sector and will launch a series of initiatives shortly.

N. Ramachandran, a fellow and former faculty of IIM-Calcutta and CEO of IFCR India, told reporters that the company would also form collaboration with renowned US researcher Krishna Menon and would soon "operate full service general hospitals, specialty hospitals, training institutions, research centers and hospital supplies facilities in Kerala."

The company plans to initially invest Rs.20 crore in this sector and will initially focus of owning ten village hospitals in Kerala before moving to other parts of the state and country.

Anil Joseph, Managing Director of IFCR India said the healthcare sector in the country was booming and this was an opportunity for them to expand in this sector.
