Holiday Gossip Takes Up 9 Million Brit Hours Annually
A new study has revealed that Britons spend almost nine million hours per year talking about their holidays to their workmates.
According to research across nine countries by travel website lastminute.com, individuals take an average of 22 minutes talking about their holiday antics, which costs employers 132million pounds a year.

The study also suggests that 17 per cent of people lie to make the stories more interesting.

The Irish were the worst culprits with an average of 26 minutes for re-living their holiday adventures and 29 percent admitted that they exaggerated their stories.

Next to follow were the Germans, who continued with holiday flowery tales for 25 minutes, and the Swedish who went on and on for 23 minutes.

"Describing our summer holidays is a great way to re-live the experience and beat the post-holiday blues," the Daily Mail quoted Mark Maddock, managing director of lastminute.com, as saying.

"Sometimes you just can't resist telling that story by the water cooler," he added.
