Harry Potter Star Caught Smoking Pot

by VR Sreeraman on Nov 16 2009 3:49 PM

Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe was caught smoking pot at a party recently.

The 20-year-old star was seen laughing uncontrollably in a get-together, thrown by a friend of his on-off actress girlfriend Laura O'Toole at Camden, North London.

Seemingly, the actor was on such a high that he let a girl scribble all over his face.

He also walked around the flat apparently exclaiming: "I love weed."

Twenty-six year-old Wadia Tazi, who was also present at the party, revealed that Radcliffe was completely out of his mind.

"He looked spaced out and didn't look like he knew what was going on," the Mirror quoted him as saying.

He added: "Daniel was laughing and seemed to find it funny. But he didn't really look like he knew what was going on I was surprised by his behaviour."

When Wadia joined the revelry at around at around 1am most guests had left and only eight people including Radcliffe remained.

Wadia said: "Most of the beer had already gone and people were tucking into pizzas.

"Daniel looked spaced out and away with the fairies. He didn't want us to recognise him. When I said he looked like that actor in Lord of the Rings [Elijah Wood], he got a bit funny and said, 'No, that's not me'. He looked pretty uncomfortable.

"I didn't recognise him as he looked so different to what I expected from the films. When my friend told me who he was, I was shocked."

Wadia claims that Radcliffe smoked in front of him and a friend, when they were alone in the kitchen of the apartment.

He said: "He was really friendly and talking about his dad a bit.

"Then he pulled out a huge joint and lit up. Daniel said he loved it. He seemed happy that neither of us knew who he was.

"At one point a girl dragged him away, saying, 'Come on Daniel, follow me. You don't trust me, do you?'

"She pulled him into the toilet and started drawing a huge comedy beard on his face."

Radcliffe had denied reports of drugs last year.

He had said: "I've been around some amazing people and still managed to keep a real childlike view of the world. I'm not into drugs."
