Govt Doctors in Uttar Pradesh May Receive Hands-on Training in Foreign Countries
Government doctors in Uttar Pradesh may look forward to hands-on training in developed countries with chief minister Akhilesh Yadav agreeing with the idea at the ongoing government doctors association meeting on April 4.
Speaking on the //occasion, the CM appreciated the idea mooted by the doctors’ body and asked health department to explore the possibility.

Akhilesh also said that the government would consider the idea of increasing postgraduate seats in government medical colleges for doctors who join the provincial medical health cadre. The government doctors’ cadre is facing a huge crisis of specialists. More than 60% of specialist positions are lying vacant.

The Chief Minister also spoke about effective management of resources and infrastructure in health sector.

He said that instead of pouring money in 10 different projects and engaging 10 different stakeholders to provide the required supplies, the government will uphold a turn-key approach in which one hospital at a time will be developed fully.
