Give Your Low WiFi Signal a Beer-Boost

Give Your Low WiFi Signal a Beer-Boost
Boosting WiFi signals with a parabolic antenna made from a beer can and slipping it over the wireless router's own antenna has become the latest 'remarkably simple' DIY cellphone hack which has become an instant hit with guzzlers.
This simple method has actually been shown to increase signal strength by at least 2 to 4 bars, reports Discovery News.

For this project all you need are scissors, a utility knife, some adhesive putty and an empty beer can.

The first step is to wash out your empty beer can. Once the can has dried, remove it's pull tab.

Then, using the utility knife, saw off the to and bottom of the can, cut through one side of the remaining cylinder and bend it into a semicircle.

Attach the curved body of the can to the lid, which will now serve as a base, using glue or clips or duct tape or whatever is handy.

Finally, attach the can-tenna to the router by slipping the upright antenna on the router though the hole in the can lid.
