German Supermarket Recalls Yogurt and Peanut Products
German low-cost supermarket chain Lidl has recalled its fruit yogurt and honey peanuts as it failed to label that the products may contain allergens such as milk and peanuts.
The store is withdrawing its eight pack of Milbona Fruit Yoghurt and Alesto Honey Peanuts as the label does not warn shoppers about the possible allergens in English.

People who are allergic to milk or peanuts are urged not to eat the products but return them to the store for a refund.

The supermarket said, "Lidl UK recalls Milbona Fruit Yoghurt, 8 x 125g, Use by Date 18.08.16 only, due to milk not being declared in English on a small number of items. This means the product is a possible health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk. If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to - milk, do not eat it. Other Milbona products are not affected by this recall."

The supermarket added, "Lidl UK recalls Alesto Honey Peanuts, 200g, Best Before Date 02.2017 only, due to peanuts not being declared in English on a small number of packets. This means the product is a possible health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to peanut.”
