Genes Play a Key Role in Determining If You are Vulnerable to Hangovers
Researchers at University of Missouri-Columbia have found that genetics has a major influence on whether a person suffers from a hangover after a night of drinking.
The researchers carried out a telephonic survey on 4,000 middle aged twins in Australia, asking them about alcohol consumption and experiences with hangovers as well as the number of days that they fell sick the next day after drinking.

The researchers found that genetics was responsible for nearly half of the reason why a person experienced hangover the day after drinking, with the difference being 45 percent among women and 40 percent among men, while environmental factors were responsible for the remaining reasons.
