Tripura Students' Health Home (TSHH), India's second such free healthcare center for students, was inaugurated by the Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Sunday.

The TSHH, the second center after the West Bengal's Students' Helath Home at Maulali in Kolkata, is a public-private initiative.

"Initially on three-days a week, free consultancy, advice and basic medicines would be provided to all students. Physiotherapy would be available everyday," said TSHH secretary Jiban Krishna Nag, a renowned orthopedic surgeon.

He said that government and private doctors will provide free consultancy and advice at the TSHH, set up with the financial assistance from the Tripura government, local area development funds of MPs and individual contributions.
